Delphi vs VBasic
which one is easier to learn? I took a look at delphi and seems pretty easy and from my knowledge is a powerful language too.

if you know how to use windows, VB is a cinch.
some of the code can get pretty deep, but you dont have to make it deep. as soon as you open VB and create a new application, that application is a running program with no code in it whatsoever. very easy |

Vb is much easier. Delphi is much more powerfull then vb, but I don't think vb is not powerfull. I have created many fast easy using apps in vb.

It's been said. Depending on your background to an extent but VB is easier to learn and powerfull enough for 95% of stuff. Delphi is very nice but a bit harder to pick up for most people and not quite the support that VB has purely becauase MS obviously owns VB.
If you have the time try them both and see which suits you the best :) |

VB is easier IMO... tons of source code and developers, which is why there are more VB programmers in the world then any other language. http://www.planetsourcecode.com excellent source of VB source code to basically learn how to code any kind of idea. Delphi can do multithreading stuff that VB can't do.. but for most people who do client side applications, VB is a great fit. If you are going to do heavy server side coding, VC++ is the way to go. |
