i don't think it ever comes off, not like bankruptcy...

you'd need an official pardon

muchmoreporn 09-19-2003 03:28 PM

even a canadian pardon means shit in the states or another country, and it takes 2 years to get.

depends on the conviction...i have never had an issue

Jay_StandAhead 09-19-2003 03:31 PM

If you get a canadian pardon, you can then ask for a US pardon, but good luck getting that :)

It depends on what you were charged with and what the mood of the officer on duty is. For example, I know people that go across all the time who have DUIs. As long as you tell them about it if / when they ask.

You need a waiver from the U.S. to enter. Takes about 3 to 6 months to obtain.

bne and possesion or stolen property, "cds"

One of the questions they will ask you directly is "Do you have a criminal record".

What happens if you lie to a border patrol and he finds out? Personally I'd go thru the legal route.. They put your id thru a machine anyways.. not sure if it's checking your criminal record or what...

That's flying at least.. Drive and you could get thru easy..

even worst this is the car we are driving

i've never heard of this, as far as i know, they can deny you entrance but most don't care. i know every time i've crossed the border they never asked if i had a criminal record, tho flying might be different.

A Canadian pardon is not recognized in the u.s. Since 9/11 they can turn you back for anything. If they tell you no once thats it. You have to apply for a waiver from the Americans. This is best route to take if they decide they feel like granting you one.

just go through some small border post in north dakota or something... they barely do shit last i was there, we went through with the 5th wheel. we could have had a trailer full of cocaine and they wouldn't have known the difference.
