California keeps on shooting itself in the leg!

California has some of the most stupid laws and they wonder why most companies are leaving and the state is going into a deeper depression!

The latest idiotic move by Californian Gov. Davis, he signed the anti spam act. Oh how stupid can this be lets drive more companies out of California!

The US has to realise that they are loosing a huge amount of the Porn Companies, they are all going overseas and taking the tax dollars and the spending cash with them. They should try to keep these business wihtin the states and help our own economy and not another countries.

I dont know, I guess I am just pissed!

BTW I will vote for the first time in my life and I will vote for Arnold!

freeadultcontent 09-24-2003 10:29 AM

triumph 09-24-2003 10:37 AM

You're going to vote for a bodybuilder because of spam? I'm lost.

Vote Mary Carey if you want porn companies to have a voice in Cali.

No not because of that, maybe someone like Arnold will do something for a change!

He also has alot of pull in the Movie Industry, maybe he can give more incentives to the Movie Companies to film more in California! Instead of other places!

I left California in '94. Why have the government take another 9.3% of your income for state taxes when you can live in Florida or Nevada for example and have no state taxes. Florida sales tax at 6% is lower also compared to California's 8.5% on everything you buy. That 2.5% adds up if you are wealthy.

California is also horrible with its myriad of business regulations and restrictions.

Thanks, but no thanks to living out there.

The porn companies that are leaving California just so they can spam is a good thing to me. If the sole purpose of your adult company is to send SPAM then your biz model has some serious flaws.

Anyone who sends proper opt in mail is fine, this is just something trying to clean up sending mail to people who do not want it, and to children. I see nothing wrong with it, I will continue to scrub my lists and mail. If you have opt in names, you scrub hard, and have a proper remove link that actually works what is there to worry about?

You know what I completely agree with you! But have you read the new law! Even 100% double opt in lists are going to be on the hitlist! They want you to show something other than ip address and email confirm. Now that is a problem for many companies that send out legit ads.

listen....can you hear it?

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOSHHHHHHHHHHH

I guess they'll need to increase car registration rates by 10x after they get rid of all the lovely CC transations that happen at companies in and around CA....

Antigua, Panama and Latvia have GOT to love that shit...

Pornographers for Arnold.

More "family values" from the Republicans. :1orglaugh

Arnold loves Bush and has already said he is going to work to get him elected in 2004. A vote for Arnold is a vote for Bush in 2004.
