My purpose?

What's my purpose you may ask? Well, to start off, I want to be here for anyone that needs help with web programming. I have learned php pretty fluently, and well, I'd like to share what I know and help others. I'd also ofcourse like to make an extra buck, making scripts and applications that help better peoples businesses as well as give me some extra spending money. To me this isn't much to ask, but what do you think?

Just because something has been around longer doesn't mean anything. Hell, Fords been around longer than Chevy but I'd still trust Chevy out on the road more than a Ford.

Listen, I am not here to aurgue, I am here to simply say that I use php daily, it does the job right, pascal may very well work for you, but php is my game. :)

you insult everything that i have worked hard to achieve.

pascal is better

1. it has been around longer so therefore it HAS to be better

2. i would only learn pascal if it was the best

3. php isnt that good for internet applications

turbo pascal is the better of the 2 without a doubt how dare you question my knowledge on the matter

Can you explain some logic behind your reasoning to just be ignorant and say "PHP is not good for web" !!! It was built for the web, wtf are you saying, man? You tell me what's so bad about PHP and what it can't do?

Alright man, set yourself in your own ways and continue using your beloved "pascal". Just remember: I never onced dissed it or said it was inferior to PHP... infact, it could be better than php - who knows... all I do know is however is what works for me. And that is all...

ha ha, i was really starting to worry - i have used pascal a few times, it's old but still works amazingly. However, I do have to say, once I learned some C I have never had a reason for any other language, for local programming that is. LOL!
