this thing keeps poping up on my desktop every 5 minutes....how do I remove it?

Start --> Run --> type in services.msc --> click OK.

Find "Messenger"

right click on it...goto PROPORTIES and set startup type to "Disabled"


IOf anyone else wants to see if they are venurable goto a command prompt and type....

"net send 127.0.0.1 I eat shit"

if you get a popup you need to get a firewall or do what i mentioned above.

Beware of any software that claims to stop popups. Lots are loaded with trojans. :2 cents:

Hey Jesus thanks, I had the same bullshit trouble. Just followed your instructions now. Hopefully I wont get that crap every 5 mins. It was becoming a nightmare.
