Worst mailing list you ever joined?
 

here's my nightmare.....In 97 i read an article about MUMIA ABU-JAMAL....and i made the mistake to check his site.

My biggest mistake was to submit my isp email to his mailing list...... within a couple of minutes the first e-mail arrived. It was about a speech someone would give in some state regarding some problems of a minority. Second e-mail arrived a couple of minutes after this.... same story.

I was receiving 100s e-mails/day regarding speeches, protestors, human rights violators and so on from every country you can imagine. Worst part? No unsubscribe option. No way to stop this horror. Just imagine you were receiving an email notification everytime someone started a new thread at GFY. Same case :mad:

Worst spammers I've encountered aren't even adult. I registered at an online casino to play poker tournaments & am getting all sorts of spam with my whole name in it. :(

I read a news story in The Times about a French news magazine that had published a story in which they basically called the nouveau Beaujolais a shitty wine.

The wine people of Beaujolais reacted angrily and took the thing to court. The magazine was sentenced a fine of $ 350.000 and since they are a small magazine, it was a sort of death sentence for them.

So they wrote an article on their site about it and asked people to send a couple of lines in support of them - and in support of the freedom of press. I did - and since then I've received several spam messages every day about night clubs and other things going on in the Lyon region. I've asked them many times to stop it. They won't.

So much for supporting freedom of press. :(
