Cdn. exchange rate at 1.30 today... who listened to CDSMith's advice?
 

U.S. dollar keeps getting weaker and weaker, but...

It's all ups and downs, ups and downs.... hold on and it will come back... right CDSMith?

Look back at the 30 year picture, you'll see ups and downs and even a period where the Canadian dollar was worth more then the US dollar, did that stick? It'll bounce back, how long, who knows. It's going to get worse before it gets better. My bank loves me currently for leaving all my money in US, I'd rather sit on it then throw that kind of money away. Can't earn 25% in a GIC. :winkwink:

As soon as Bush is out of office, it WILL come back :) We're sitting on our US until then/

Easy to say... not so easy to do.

Just like the stock market... people sit back now and say they will leave their money where it is.... that stocks always come back. But when the mass hysteria comes and the stock market looks its bleakest... when it looks like there is no chance the market will go up ever again..... or they just get tired of being under water.... those same people will sell their shares... AT THE BOTTOM.

What makes you think that?

dont be so sure about that. predicting fx rates that far out is just insane. even fx traders won't touch it unless they drink too much :)

Sucks though for us canadians who are paid in USD.

It was INSANE fun and cool when it was 1.52. I was loving that.
