Why isn't flash also covered?

cuz Macromedia owns Flash. Macromedia would eat Acacia for breakfast.

so why not put a flash movie player on your site and serve movies that way?

Because Acacia doesn't care about the method of transport.

Until recenty, flash was based only on vector drawings which is reacreation of images with mathematical calculations..

But now it also has (streaming) video playback. So it should be covered too, but I think Amputate Your Head is right..

So, we will wait and see..

This is true! FTP/SFTP/HTTP/FLASH - Any method of transport!
