OFO (Old Farts Only): Heavy Metal Music's Changes Over The Years
 

Had to realize that Heavy Metal is over 30+ years old.

If you're an Old Fart you'll remember when Black Sabbath and early Funkadelic had our parents, teachers and priests, rabbis, chasing us down the street throwing holy water and garlic at us.

We thought Black Sabbath was originally a southern baptist gospel group til we saw the album cover and knew right off the bat we were in for some good ol' monster music.

That's what our parents didn't understand was that HM was political, love songs, war chants with no sissyfied instruments just hard ass stuff that scared your kid brother out of the room.

I remember when cats and dogs couldn't stand HM.

Ahhhh the good ol' days!

So the big question. Have the new kids kept the torch? Is there room for more metal?

Kinda hard to say..I think they like that rap crap and very few seem to listen to metal nowadays
