In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the woman.

I couldn't give a fuck about fame or power... its all about money. I prefer to remain completely anonymous whenever possible.

And aside from the baser capitalist instincts, its all about learning cool new things and creating cool new things. :2 cents:

Fuck peers. Peers are nobodies. I've never met anyone in this biz that could make or break me. And who cares what they think?

As long as the checks keep coming I'm happy.

To a degree, yeah, I agree with MattO...

But seriously, I did what I do for recognition and a bit of an activist agenda for a very very long time. Now, it seems my so called 'peers' are out for the money. Fame alone doesn't buy you cheeseburgers, and I like cheeseburgers a lot. We have great stuff in our niche-ish end of the woods and a ton of credibility, so yeah, I might as well make the money now too. :thumbsup

Right now, I'll take the money.

I stopped giving seminars and advertising myself. I still go everywhere but that's because I really like all you (well most of you) people. Maybe it's because I already have the recognition, but it's usually better to be anonymous.

Recognition for being and doing something different and interesting. From that the money will roll in..

That is the position I'm in now. I started off in my niche back in Feb 99 and I'm now known by a lot of people in the biz for what I do. The whole world has now jumped on the Indian bandwagon and it's spread the biz a lot more from back then when there were only about 6 of us in the whole world working it. The main prob is that the major sponsors who've opened these sites use non Indians, have very little content for this niche and actually frighten off surfers from joining real Indian sites as theirs are crap. Luckily I've had a couple of well known review sites give me a good rating recently and so sales are picking up as surfers know they're going to get what they want.. Here's the link to Richards Realm review: http://www.richards-realm.com/review...?reviewID=1171

I was filmed a couples of years ago for terrestial UK tv about my sites. I've been approached by Playboy tv in the UK to make programmes for them.. I have two companies about to release my vid shoots on dvd UK at Xmas. One company will be selling them to sex shops in the UK and the other, over the net from outside the EU. I'm currently waiting for AEBN to agree terms for licensing my vids for streaming..

I could have sold my stills shoots many times to some of the major sponsors and other webmasters but as what I shoot is unique, I want a certain price but no one wants to pay for it.. Big deal.. That means my work is still totally exclusive to my sites and makes me $$$ continually rather than the odd lump sum now and again...

So do it right.. get known and the money will roll in..

Pardon me, but normally when a man makes the money, and lots of it, then he "thinks" he's powerful, and most tend to mistreat their woman (women) by cheating, lying, or just plain abusing both mentally and physically. I've seen it happen many many times, so guys, think hard about the kind of person you are when answering a question such as this!

Making my family happy while at the same time keeping a roof over their heads, food on the table and clothes on their backs, nothing else in life is more important to me.

Swanks 11-10-2003 05:01 AM

Yea imo i think id definately say alot of people care most about gaining recognition amoungst their peers. Its with this that you will know your real friends and who you really click with. As for you that say "money" leads to acceptance, thats totally false to an extent. If you think about it alot of these people that are really rich are being used for their money, fame and power. Yea money is great dont get me wrong but theres more to life than just money. Some people will just never be happy regardless of what they may lead on. I agree strongly with the statement that getting recognition leads to $. If you get your name out there and people get to know you and respect you, word travles and your more prone to getting money, its easier making deals and buisness offers may come about alot easier.
