It was a reasonable portrayal of real events.

The convoy she was in made a wrong turn and was attacked.

The Humvee she was a passenger in...ran into the back of a big rig at speed and she suffered serious injuries.

She was placed in an Iraqi hospital.

An Iraqi attorney told the American forces she was there.

A team went in and extracted here as well as nine bodies that were killed in the attack on her convoy.

No. They were all rescued at a later time than Jessica Lynch and that was not part of the movie.

Yes, made up stories are a bitch to watch.

Yes I know the basic stuff was true, but do we need a movie about it? We all know they made a wrong turn, and some guy told us were she was and we got her.

Just because she looks like the human version of apple pie she is a fucking war hero - just because her unit made a wrong turn. Shit - I made a wrong turn on a way to a party last weekend, and I got a ticket for not making a complete stop at a stop sign -- does that make ME a hero?

If you cried over this movie then Bush got exactly what he wanted - to get America to support the war more - even though the only thing we are doing over there now is getting our people killed.

Fuck the movie, fuck the million dollar book deal, fuck Jessica (just like the entire unit did). Ask yourself - why are we not seeing the same drama over the other POWs? Were they not pretty enough? Yup.

Easy answer...as of this point there has not been anyone decide that their stories have commercial value. At some point this could change...and then you will have the opportunity to complain about their story.
