Iraq about to turn really ugly?

Seems like US admin Bremer has been suddenly called home today and signs are pointing towards things about to get really ugly over there. Looks like our guys are about to have to get really aggressive and this could be the phase that pushes the majority over Iraqis over the line to wanting us out.

I think the majority tolerate us at the moment but it's a thin line we're walking and this may be what pushes them over the line. I've got to think that things may just be about to get really ugly over there now, what do you think?

dude, wake up!
almost no in Arab world likes US troops in Iraq...the fact is that Bush administration havent had any good and clear plan about Iraq since the begining...
and believe me it is much worse than you can see on CNN - they censor a lot there....

just my 2 cents...

it's already been really ugly, but you're right, things seem to get worse by the day. the thing i don't want to see though, is the united states pull out to quick and the country collapse. then there is another "failure" on our list of countries we tried to rebuild, and they will resent us for that.

might as well pull out the US troops, its really getting ugly everyday. and so far, i can't see no halt to such terroristic attack. so far, we are loosing a valuable citizen in the war in Iraq.

but right now we're like their only source of authority. if we leave now, it will turn to marshall law and then eventually another tyrat dictator exactley like saddam will rise. i think the buzzword is "power vacum".

Wake up? Are you clueless, the majority of the arab world doesn't hate us they don't care about us at all. It's a small group that outright hates us probably 15 to 20 percent of the population the rest don't give a fuck they're too busy worrying about their own lives. The people of Iraq are tolerating us at the moment, not wanting us there but not exactly wanting us to leave yet because we are providing a small amount of stability, but a very small amount for sure.

George Bush is fucking this up, I have no doubt about that, but they appear to be about to change tactics and have our military get much more aggressive because of things about to get really ugly. Yeah it's already ugly, but its on the verge of spiraling totally out of control unless something is done soon. What that solution is is hard to say because we got put in a fucked up position by the Bush Admin. Getting more aggressive is going to bring results but it also risks being the move that will push the toleration over to hate and violence by the average citizen who is just tolerating and hoping we'll leave soon. Those people are on the line and if we fuck this up with being too aggressive those people are going to turn and want us gone immediately and the terrorists will gain allies in the average person.

Its interesting that very few of the news articles I've read bring up the point that the Kurdish and Shiite areas of Iraq are reasonably calm. It seems that the vast majority of the unrest is in the Sunni areas.

true, i hope UN moves in and sends some peacekeepers or something. US is in hot waters right now. why not make UN make a resolution to send Arab Nations to facilitate in the peace process. i doubt they will also, i just learned that Israel just pulled out its plan to deploy its own soldiers to the war fields.
well, i don't blame them. this will just cause only more bloodshed between religions. this is just fucked up... :(

haha, I expected exactly that kind of answer :) it shows how misinformed you are...
ok, you are right about the second part - Bush is fucking this up!

and no, I am not clueless, but you obviously are...need a proof? no problem - just tell me how many times you have read Al Jazeera site? none ?! not surprised...
try to follow it for at least a week...or go to war archives - you'll be surprised!

anyway, I just wanted to say its been ugly there since day 1 and dont tell me you are bringing peace there... Troops cant bring peace...besides we all know it all about oil money, right :)

Digipimp 11-11-2003 12:25 PM

Are you kidding me the UN isn't going to touch this one and neither are other Arab countries. They're leaving us out to hang ourselves just because we didn't come to them before we went to war. They're not even about to step in and help us out and if they were they are asking us for many times more than they ever have just to fuck us because our president doesn't play well with others. This is our problem and no one is going to bail us out and we're going to have to put more of our guys in to take the heat if it's going to work at all and that might even fuck it up still.

I'm misinformed and you're the one that buy the Al Jazeera bullshit, if you believe any one media source at all you're out of your mind. I never said it's been all beautifl and happy over there, but it's never as bad as the media says it is and never as good as the admin says it is.

I dont buy Al Jazeera shit, but I dont buy the CNN shit either...However I am trying to see both sides of the coin - I believe this will give me more valuable info so I can make my oppinion...

cause it is really ugly there...and we cant even imagine how these people live...

well said, i guess its an all out war again for embattled US troops.
i wonder if the next President (2004), hoping its not Bush, can bail us out from this mess. for now, they just have to engage on the rules of engagement.

Well at least you're staying civilized in arguing a point that I never disagreed with but you'll reread and figure that out soon enough I'm guessing.

:thumbsup
