People forget about cultural differences
Just an FYI for those that feel that other cultures are victoms of US hegemony. I don't think that people believe that other cultures are responsible for themselves and just put the blame on the US. My point is, if you expand upon the article below and understand that these practices are the norm for these people and not the exception then you'll understand how diplomacy is likely to fail. Moreover, it is a big bad world out there.
Personally I cannot understand why people believe that behavior such as is laid out in the article below is just and freedom isn't.
