Matrix WTF got jipped?!
 

Does anyone else remember all of the stories in the paper about how several streets in Sydney were shut down to fly a helicopter through them for shooting Matrix 2+3 but after watching both movies there is no helicopter chase scene through the city.

Did this get cut, what happened to it? I mean it got a ton of press and nothing to show for it, doesnt make sense? Does anyone have any info on this?

Maybe the helicopter was flown through the streets to film certain shots, and not to actually be in the movie itself? *shrug*

Maybe they FILMED from the helicopter, not had a helicopter scene.

matrix 3 was fucked up. I think they totally ruined the ending..

I havent seen it so i can't really say.

I was thinking that might be one possibility but then the only sequence it makes sense for is for when they are driving out of the parking lot and headed for the highway, but there was nothing spectacular about the way that portion was shot that would make sense to fly a helicopter through the city streets for. Plus I also thought it said it was two helicopters and it was specifically a helicopter chase sequence.

It may have just been a PR stunt I guess, or otherwise it really is interesting to see why it got cut?
