Xmas card /gift from a sponsor - to personaL?

What do you guys think ? If your sponsor sends you a gift or a christmas card do you think that is them getting to personal with you or do you find it to be a kind gesture ?

I personaly woudn't mind as long as it stayed in the christmas spirit and not have a card of a chick taking a dick in her ass or anything.

I get cards and stuff from sponsors and people I do business with all the time. A few years ago I got a cheesecake from one of them.

Stop jacking threads.

I think it's a very sweet gesture. Happy Holidays! :)

Eh, I get them from lots of places. ARS has sent me some. I think I got one or two from CashQuest a while back. I'm pretty sure I got something from MaxCash. EZGreen sent me the cheesecake a couple of years ago. I get tons of little gifts and cards from people I do business with but I can't remember all of them off the top of my head.

Thanks for the info.
Now only if icq worked.

Another question.
I was thinking cost to mail these things.

100 pack of genaric christmas cards at your local store - $3.00

Say you mail off your top 250 affialtes
250 x .35 cents = $105.
You can go the wrote of printing address labels ( time spent setting that up and putting all address into the program ) 20-30 bucks + labor

THen maybe writing
Wishing you happy holidays from the SOandSo company that would take time aswell even if you go the stciker route with that aswell...

Ah well just thoughts

are you going to send me a cheesecake?

Mr.Fiction 11-22-2003 05:37 AM

Cheesecake? In the good old days, big sponsors used to send BMWs to all of their top affiliates.

J B 11-22-2003 09:24 AM

I think it's very nice. The only thing I don't like is that we have to pay custom on the gift baskets if they come from overseas. Some companies know that though and therefore order the gift baskets from companies in the EU :)

Reak 11-22-2003 09:27 AM

I would like it if they send me a card, send them over !

:thumbsup

How could someone not like a Christmas card from a sponsor? Maybe an over sensitive person who doesn't celebrate Christmas, but come on! I'd be fine with a Hanukkah card. It's the thought and gesture that counts.

Thats what I feel but last year when I did mainstream people who get upset that they where getting cards and what not

just seeing what people thought

RaGe 11-22-2003 02:30 PM

I don't mind it, I've gotten a couple cards before. I'm sure there will be more this year.

Sly_RJ 11-22-2003 02:32 PM

Mainstream people are fags. They suck. Boring ass computer nerds that get all of their kicks from the latest processor. Now hey, I like a good processor as the next guy, but I get my kicks elsewhere.

Maru 11-22-2003 02:32 PM

Reminds me of when the president of the Roma soccer club in Italy sent gold watches to all the refs in the Italian soccer league. When the press picked up the story, he replied that it was just a sign of Italian christmas generosity.

markell 11-22-2003 02:33 PM

i plan on giving out fruit cakes :)
