Before I replace my out of warranty laptop I figured I would post a question in here. I have a Compaq laptop and the system hung the other day so I had to pull the power on it. We'll now it won't even turn on, anyone see this ever? I was thinking a power supply issue but I am not sure.

disconnect the battery, then reconnect it and try again.

Laptops are stupid like that. Pop the battery and see what happens.

I've had to do this with mine before too, unplugged the power supply and yanked the battery for a few seconds :thumbsup

dont buy shitty compaq... for that matter dont buy shitty HP either.

had the same with my compaq armada laptop..just pull out the bat and make sure its in snug :)

I've a ACER 1604, bought it in the summer: 15" screen, P4 2.8 GHz, 512 DDR SDRAM, 40GB HD, DVD-CDRWcombo, ATI 64MB graphics card.
It's a powerfull machine and it was the only one in that price range ? 1550 (DO MIND THAT PRICES IN EUROPE AND CERTAINLY BELGIUM ARE MUCH HIGHER THAN IN THE USA).

Really buy a ACER, we were on shoot in Malaysia for the Belgian version of "Survivor" and the ACERS were the only one who kept on running, the others (DELL, HP, Compaq,...) all broke down, the DELLs already after 15 minutes. I know DELL is the cheapest, but ... well you get what you pay for in this case:winkwink:
