Shaving rebills on CCBILL?

Hi!

http://ccbillhelp.ccbill.com/content...opts_affil.htm

Nice option.

Don't be surprised when you will see maximum 2 or 1 rebills from your traffic.

It's just the fact that sponsor uses this feature.

Max rebills=2 or 1.

Have a nice day.

P.S. You can?t trust anyone this time.

SomeCreep 12-17-2003 07:17 AM

Interesting. I imagine that option is there because not all affiliate programs are 50/50 for life. For example, what if the affiliate program was 80/20 for the first 10 rebills? That option would allow for that.

pornJester 12-17-2003 07:18 AM

Maybe some programs have limited rebill payouts. People probably are shady and abuse this feature but doesn't mean that is what it was designed for.

slapass 12-17-2003 07:19 AM

Ouch ... Lots of the big companies use ccBill and I do great with them but the single site shops are harder fro me to make bank. I wonder if this is why.

Kirkos Makarios 12-17-2003 07:21 AM

This option does not allow changing the 80/20 to 50/50...

It allows only not paying after a number of rebills.

Did you notice the option: Pay for trial - Yes - No.

Even your trial sales may be shaved.....

Dildozer 12-17-2003 07:22 AM

Wow that's quite shitty but i guess it's to be expected

Yes, thats what I was saying, 80/20 for the first 10 rebills and then no more payment on any other rebills. (Personally I'd prefer a 50/50 for life, but thats not to say someone wouldnt want to set up an affiliate program like my 80/20 example.)

stocktrader23 12-17-2003 07:28 AM

I use CCBill so I can't get shaved.

stocktrader23 12-17-2003 07:40 AM

Not ALL ccbill webmasters use this option -
This referrer has so far made nearly 600$ from this customer - When we set up the programme, we left rebilling payments to webmasters for life - And it fucking well stays like it, too -

johnbosh 12-17-2003 07:43 AM

lol

Kirkos Makarios 12-17-2003 07:49 AM

:1orglaugh

Nice.

I didn't pretend that all sponsors use this feature.

I sad it "MAY BE USED"

So the sentences like "I use CCBILL and can't get shaved, are obsolete"

... and if a sponsor may use this feature, how many of them will actually resist ?

BlueFly 12-17-2003 07:57 AM

I don't think this has anything to do with payout to webmasters. This looks like an option to let the surfer off the hook after a set number of rebills. If the surfer stops being billed, how can you get a percentage from it. This isn't shaving.

Stop Paying Rebills - Sets whether or not the payments should be continued after a specified number of times. Select Yes to display the Stop After Rebill Number Text Box, which allows you to enter a number where you want to stop the rebill payments. Select No to allow the rebill to payout continually.
#

Stop After Rebill Number - Sets the amount of times to payout rebills to Affiliates after the start of a subscription. For example, to stop after rebilling once for a trial subscription, set the Stop After Rebill Number to "1".

Shit, I don't know... I have read that damn thing 3 times now. They could be talking about payout to webmasters... Pretty shitty, if some of the programs that advertise "for life" use this.

corvette 12-17-2003 09:23 AM

Kirkos Makarios, this option was originally added to give our clients the flexibility of various payout structures. We are in the process of adding a section in the affiliate reports where you can view the various options selected for each of your specific account under the corresponding CCBill program.

the real magoo 12-17-2003 09:30 AM

wish you could remove that java test that I have to do every time I log in to the affiliate system.

jimmyf 12-17-2003 09:38 AM

Yes every time I delete history, and delete cookies, I go Thru. 3 or 4 screen, asking if I want 2 install Java

When will this option be available?

I want to see which sponsor abuses this method.
I want those accounts flagged so that I can stop traffic to them.

Just so you know, this option is buried ultra-deep in the CCBill admin area. I doubt that 99.9% of the programs would have even known about it except for threads like this. It is not easy to find.

Having said that, I'm turning it up full blast.

I was searching for an affiliate who only offers three month worth of rebills.....shit can't find any....I hate it when sponsors don't turn on that fantastic shave feature.

Corvett,

I am happy to hear this. I would like to encourage you to make sure that the display given to affiliates is a FULL representation of ALL options related to affiliates and respective payments.

Also some humble suggestions:

- There should be an option for each account that an affiliate has to be notified by email of any change to the respective settings as they relate to affiliate payments. There should be no way to clandestinly turn payments off and on using the CCBILL interface without affiliates knowing for example - affiliates should be able to recieve notification. Fair is fair.

- Is ther any way we can see a history of chnges within the past "X" months for each respective sponsor account we are under? You know, Just to reassure ourselves of the past honesty of the fine webmasters which we are affiliates for? :Graucho:

Anyway, good to see CCBILL cares about such things and at least is open to dialog and input. Very encouraging. :thumbsup

Not sure if you can switch the ratios. That would be cool though.

Martin 12-17-2003 07:33 PM

That's bullshit. That shouldn't be there PERIOD!

Fabien 12-17-2003 07:41 PM

EXCATLY !!!

So, let's all steal CONTENT, TRAFFIC etc....

Anyways, those that fuck the less are the ones that stay.
It's funny how in this industry so many people are in it for a "quicky"

They would be way more money for them (without all the problems) playing "fair"

Anyways:Hollering

Sausage 12-17-2003 08:28 PM

CCBill knows that if they dont have some option or way to 'shave' then they will lose clients.

Its a fact.

Please include whether the affiliate or the site pays the processing fees! A site that is listed as paying 50% could really only be paying about 43-44% of gross if the processing fee comes out of my cut.

jscott 12-17-2003 08:49 PM

i think there should be a way that the affiliate/partner gets notified that his rebills get cut off, thats the only fair way to do it imo

Argoz 12-18-2003 12:55 AM
