Tried a couple I found on Kazza... nothing worked on my system. Just wondered if anyone here knew of a good one. thanks :thumbsup |
PS2 PC Emulator = Urban legend.

Getting a PS2 for xmas... neighbor gave me a couple of games... wanted to try them now. Downloaded Bleem... piece of shit and something else that somewhat worked... but it would not read the DVD drive. Oh well... figured that if anyone would know of a good one... it would be here... so I guess that there is no such monster out there. Thanks :) |
what games has he given you?

I'm not telling you that they don't exist. But they are fake and won't play games. There is a commercial release called Bleem but it is for the original PS1. And the software company that released it was bought by Sony. So dream on |

* None of the current emulators runs any commercial game yet! It took PS1 emulation years to get to that level, and it's still not perfect, as shown by the newest release of ePSXe with lots of bug fixes. And the PS2 is way more complex than the PS1! * You'll most likely need at least a 3GHz CPU to get anywhere near realtime PS2 emulation, and that assumption already includes tricks like dynamic recompilation! Remember that N64 emulators with a good compatibility need a CPU close to 1GHz, and the PS2 is way more complex than the N64! * Obviously complexity is an issue. In terms of complexity the PS2 even rivals the Sega Saturn, and then take a look how many working Saturn emulators there are after all these years! Learn something about emulation and the PS2 hardware, and you'll understand why it'll take at least another one or two years before the first games will be playable on an emulator. Ie. Sony is likely to release the PS3 even before that happens, and I bet that shortly afterwards the first people will start asking for PS3 emulators... |

Man. You should stop right there. People will think that you are really stupid. Do search on the internet. If you find even one website that claims there is a working PS2 emulator for the Xbox. (With the name of the software), I will believe you. Good luck. I'll give you some help.. http://www.emuxbox.com/ |

Look at all his contradictions. "my PC can handle it .. but it was choppy come to think of it .. 2.8 ghz AMD and 2 gigs of ram . " He said that it was choppy playing on his 2.8 ghz. But he is also saying that he can play PS2 games on his 733 mhz Xbox hahaha :winkwink: |

If anything.... this is the 1st thread I created that got over 10 posts in a while lol.... If we can keep it up... maybe I will win XBox then I can have both systems....... :thumbsup |
I just checked out #xbins, and this dude is full of shit.
|
Ok, how about this....
A couple of the games are pretty scratched up... They work well in the PS2, but with something that looks like this... I worry hw long it will last... so I tried to make a back up of the disc. It did not work... is there a way to make back up copies of PS2 games like making movie backups? Oh--- I tried Roxio Disc Copy and XCpoy... One was disk to disk... one was from an ISO i created. |

speaking of PS2... anyone know an easy way (short of using cables) to get the audio off a PS2 Disc on to a PC?
Madden 2004 has some tracks I'd like to have in mp3 format.. and I haven't found any of them anywhere. |
