because unlike white people, black people have natural oils in their hair that if washed out daily will damage the hair.
washing your hair everyday is bad for anyone, white or black |

Personally I wash my hair every day because my hair becomes oily and I hate it. |

hair should be washed every 2-3 days with shampoo, rinsing it with just water is ok (won't damage) but shampooing daily can/will damage the hair |

Well, I guess between fuckin white women all day, gang banging, wearing platinum chains, smoking crack, eating chicken and watermelon, drinking malt liquor, and washing my HUGE cock - I forget to wash my hair every so often. :(

depending on how often you get your hair cut, will tend to keep the tell tale signs of damaged hair hidden and it's not the scalp that gets damaged on black people, its the actual hair, it's relatively brittle to begin with, stripping the oils makes it 10x worse and it'll tend to break off if washed too often |

I wash my dreadlocks every 3 days but many people think that dread locks are never wash. They are hopelessly ignorant about black hair.
Fact is white hair secrets more oil than black hair and that's why some people look greasy after a few days of not washing their hair. Black hair does not become very oily and that's why many blacks add oil to the hair to prevent breakage and dry scalp which can lead to dandruf. The lack of oil is also why black hair becomes dreaded fasted and harder than whites and that's why I wash my hair every three days to remove any oil and it makes my dreadlocks much tighter instead of looking frayed and unlocked. oily hair will not lock up into dreads very well and that's why whites with dreadlocks should wash their hair as much as possible and not believe the myth that washing dreadlocks is bad. That myth was probably started by someone like the author of this pethically ignorant post. |

Modern shampoos are supposed to replace those natural oils as you wash your hair though. I've never had a problem. My hair is sexy. |

Lice doesn't care if hair is clean or dirty. The don't actually live in the hair; they live on the scalp and suck blood for food. They only lay their eggs on the hair shaft and that's what people can see because the actual lice is too small for most people to see on the scalp. But you are right that too much shampooing can cause dandruf but this is taken care of by adding oil to the hair after a shampoo. That's what the Afro-sheen stuff is for. |
to save money on them hair care products, could just rub hands in hair after eating fried chicken
