King George's re-election and the effect on adult biz.
Does anyone fear that if King George has a second term in which he doesn't have to spend the whole half of it trying to get elected again that we might indeed see the biggest crackdown on our biz in a long long time. We could be facing prosecutions, visa, merchant accounts being closed down and suits out the ass. So does anyone think this could be a reality if he keeps the office and how important is it to you this time?

It's very important. The last time the adult industry got rocked was during the Meese Commission days in the Reagan Bush era. It can definitely happen again.

I hope not :(

I really think a lot of really crazy ultra conservative shit could go down if he's pres for another 4 years because he won't have to worry about being elected again. I mean right now he's just been setting himself up for the next term and if he gets it it's going to be real ugly for a lot of us I think.

He's definitely getting re-elected and we are in deep shit when that happens. Free sites are already on the radar.

:2 cents: Go out and vote, encourage your freinds to vote, donate to the campaign you have chosen, etc. That should help.

Yep, second-term presidents can do whatever they want without worrying about repercussions; especially if their own party is in the majority.
Unfortunately we have a very religious leader who thinks god put him in that position for a reason. He will do what he thinks god wants him to do. And all the biblethumpers he appointed will support him. Regardless of your positions on Iraq or drilling in the Alaskan wildlife refuge or affirmative action or government spending or whatever else people like to argue about; it should be obvious that a final term from this president and his attorney general will deal serious blows to the adult industry. These are people who think censorship is a perfectly acceptable solution to percieved social 'wrongs' and they won't have to worry about the opposition accusing them of violating free speech. |
"If"? What part of repeated voter fraud are you guys confused about?
