Or will it make no sense?

Don't you think a gun can easily be taken away.

I say they get a martial artist in there to whoop some ass everytime someone wants to jump bad. I guess they really don't get it... you are placing a weapon on board when the whole idea is to keep them off.

I love the idea and I think it will be a major improvement... I'm hoping our stupid (Dutch) gov. picks up on the idea too so those soldiers finally have something to do :mad:

Armed guards or Armed Federal Marshal ? big difference

The fact they are on the plane may deter some people, other than that, i think they should be armed with non-lethal weapons.

pretty expensive, but you are right... would'nt want an ex-postal worker for the job.

but who knows... anyone can snap in a moments notice.

I saw a tv show that was about the federal marshalls. These guys were popping up out of a seat and hitting the dead center of their targets and firing like 3 or 4 shots in a row.

The targets were like of a guy holding a woman hostage, and they were nailing the target dead between the eyes, and firing like 4 shots in just a second.

I would trust these guys with my life.

Also, I would only trust the martial artists if they were ninja, or Jackie Chan.

Maybe I missed this story somewhere but are they really thinking of putting armed rent-a-cops on planes? What happened to the federal air marshall's ?
