Should I Grab This TV?
http://www.panasonic.ca/images/Engli...LC13_large.jpg
I really had my heart set on the 45" but supposedly they are being discontinued in Canada. This is the replacement and from what I am told the picture is just as good and this one has even more features. Has anyone got one of these? PT-50LC13 HDTV/EDTV Display Capability (1080i, 720p, 480p) PC Display Capability (VGA, SVA and XGA) JPEG Viewer SD Memory Card and PC Card Slot 16:9 Aspect Ratio with Selectable 4:3 Scan Mode Motion-Adaptive 3D-Y/C Digital Comb Filter 2-Tuner Split-Screen Picture-in-Picture PC / Video Split-Screen Display 8-bit P-I-P Image Processing 1280 x 720 Pixels Resolution Anti-Glare Screen First-Surface Glass Mirror Enhanced Progressive Scan Doubler Progressive Cinema Scan (3/2 Pulldown) Wideband Video Amplifier Video Noise Reduction Stereo / SAP Reception / dbx1 Noise Reduction BBE®2 High-Definition Sound Surround Sound AI (Artificial Intelligence) Sound Control Output Jacks: 1 set of Fixed Audio, 1 S-Video The DirectorTM Lighted Disk Home Theatre Remote |
It looks cool and everything but for the price I would prefer to buy a big standard HDTV 64-65" and wait a couple of years until the 50+ inch plasma/lcd get cheaper and better.

Try to get a warranty with the TV (not the factory warranty) one from where ever you buy the TV from.
I bought a 50 in. flat screen last yr. from circuit city here in the US and I opted to pass on the warranty from the store...big mistake. I was playing my xbox quite a bit and left it on over night and now it has an image of Ghost Recon burned into the damn thing. It not bad but you can notice it when the TV goes dark. I called the factory and they don't even want to fuck with it and i doubt ill get it replaced. I just got this TV, I highly recommend it |
I've seen that on display. Picture quality is excellent.

This TV I am thinking of buying does not suffer from any burn in effects and also has a jpeg viewer so I can use it for digital camera pictures. I just take the flash memory out of my Canon Powershot S400 and plug it right into the tv. This thing also does split screen so I can work on my laptop on the tv and watch tv at the same time :thumbsup I am pretty stoked about grabbing it. I would probably get a better stand but otherwise I think this one is the one I am going to get. DH |
Well I'm not into TV's.. sure it's a nice one but too expensive and too small. Just buy a regular TV and save for a projector:thumbsup
