Windows XP and Temp Files Help

I have a question about Windows XP and clearing history. A friend of mine has been clearing temp files daily. After it clears it seems to come back. I was just over at her house checking her computer to see if I could help but, have no idea whats going on. Could there be some type of tracking device that her husband could have set up that makes the temp files keep coming back after its been totally cleared ?

Help and thank you :)

No this is normal. Temp files are a part of how Windows works. If you get the XP Power Toys package from the M$ site you can set it up so that the temp files get removed every time the computer gets booted up and/or shut down. If memory servers me well that is. Go the the M$ site and look for XP Power Toys.

As soon as you start browsing again new temp files will be made. That folder will almost never be empty.

if your using IE, go to TOOLS, then "Internet Options" and click the "Advanced " tab. Scroll down "Security" and make sure that "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed" is checked. Everytime you visit a site, XP automatically saves the files to the temp folder. Sure hope this helps.

Go to http://www.the-cleaner.com and get a "demo" copy of The-Cleaner that will clear the temp files, but remember to reboot after the clean
