just wondering if companies hire ladies as sales reps only to catch the attention of webmasters? I have run into sales reps who always run back to their higher ups for questions they should be able to answer

yeah,but in an industry where 80 percent of buisness is not done in person the sales rep. should be able to sell their wares without 2 hour pauses to answer questions

the answer should be obvious. like i said before in another thread webmasters are being treated more and more like surfers in this industry. never before did i realize there was such a marketing campaign towards attracting webmasters before i came to GFY.

I had a conversation with a rep the other day. It went something like this:

Rep - "You should start sending us some traffic! Our stuff kicks ass!"
Me - "Ok. What makes your stuff better than ABC Company?"
Rep - "We have awesome payouts and free content for you to use!"
Me - "ABC Company pays more than you AND they have free content. What next?"
Rep - "Uhh... I don't really know then?"

Not only did this person have no idea what they were talking about, they couldn't sell for shit.

And knowing is half the batte.

:1orglaugh Exactly... Try asking what their top converting sites are and how can THEY reciprocate the gesture of putting them up somewhere... They usually don't know the names of their own sites.

It's usually "Oh I don't really know who is in charge of outgoing traffic around here"

There are plenty of women in this industry who know what they're talking about, many gorgeous women at that. It's the dip shits that give the others a bad reputation.

personally id prefer a sales rep that is better their job than a good looking one, especially if the goold looking one is crap at their job

When I am looking for help I want to talk to a rep that has actually built a tgp gallery or free site for themselves at some point in their life. I have had conversations with some where I use the term 'AVS' and they ask me what it means. That is male and female.

i wasnt hired for that reason :) i know that much
