Help with removing virus!!!

I have a virus on my machine and it sets my homepage to a search engine. Anytime I change it, it automatically changes back! It also downloads a lot of shitty sites into my favourites.

I tried running ad-aware 6.0 and deleting cookies and clearing my cache but the minute I restart the computer its all back. Anyone got an idea how to get rid of it?

1)spybot search and destroy
2)hijack this

if those dont' get you cleaned up you are super fucked... :)

go to control panel, make sure you are looking under catagory view

click performance and maintenance

on the upper left you will see a link to system restore

follow the instructions, takes a few minutes, just double click a date on the calender like 2 or 3 days ago and restore to how it was then.

You wont lose any emails or saved programs.

Got that running through now. Will it take away whatever is causing the homepage to change?

Thanks man. I'll run spysweeper and try this if it doesn't work :)
