Caught In Car Door, Little Girl Dragged To Death
A Utah girl was killed Tuesday when her coat got caught in a car door and she was dragged for about three miles on rural roads.
Investigators in Cedar City say the girl is believed to have been 7. They say a relative who saw her waiting at a bus stop on a country road Tuesday morning agreed to give her a ride to school. Police say the girl climbed into the back seat but then got out again after being told by the relative that there wasn't enough time to drive five miles into town. A sheriff's deputy said the girl apparently became caught and tangled as she tried to get out, but the relative -- unaware of what had happened -- drove off. Investigators say a witness stopped the driver about three miles down the road. http://www.nbc4.com/news/2837616/detail.html :( |

My little brother opened the car door on our station wagon while my mom was making a turn at about 20 MPH and nearly fell all the way out.

I remember this happened a couple years ago in Florida. it was an old lady driving and there was tons of people chasing the car to get her to stop. when she finally stopped, four guys lifted the car (huge ford crown vic) off the girl that was caught up on the cars rear axle. sad. :(
