when I try to save an image now? How do I get it back to the original settings of it being a jpg or gif image when I right click an image to save it?

delete temp files

Clean out your Temporary Internet Files directory.

It's full.

Clear your browser's cache, close it and reopen it and try again. Did you just get on teh intarweb yesterday?

I deleted my cache, cookies and even restarted.. I am still getting it.

Go to Internet Options > (Under Temp) Settings > View Objects and delete everything that says Not Installed or Damaged. That should do it.
