stats remote.. thumbs down

well it's a good proggy when it works.... but ccbill affiliate and ccbill main never work... I always get the red box.. always get it... sometimes it works if I restart stats remote like 15 times... do you know how annoying that is.... I just wrote you guys an ICQ again... the first time I did all you said is ... it works on our end.... well not on mine and it didn't before when I was a member.... if you guys can't fix it by tomorrow I would like a refund please... for 30 bucks a month thats not to cool being as ccbill and ccbill affiliate stats have to be the biggest programs out there.....:2 cents:

Did you follow their instructions about changing your CCBill view settings from java to html? I've heard nothing but good things about stats remote from lots of webmasters, a lot of which use ccbill programs.

I'm thinking of using statsremote, hows it work with reporting ibill stats?

arg 02-28-2004 02:40 PM

SomeCreep mentioned the usual problem...log in manually and change your default display settings to use HTML.

Sosa 02-28-2004 03:00 PM

CCBill and Stats Remote work great for me. One of the best programs out there :thumbsup

rabbit 02-28-2004 03:17 PM

ccbill works fine for me, statsremote has been a lifesaver for me... but its only worth it if you're promoting many programs

Works well here. No issues.

I believe that this might actually be the first negative StatsRemote comment ever.

Are your display settings set to HTML for your CCBill Main account?

Did you delete the CCBill cookies from IE like I told you on ICQ before?

I know that hundreds of our members use StatsRemote to track their CC Bill stats without problems, except a time-out once in a while. Very few have problems and unfortunately we haven't figured out why yet.

Two of our other members with problems gave us access to their CC Bill accounts (Main and Affiliate) and it worked without problems on all our testing machines. We just can't reproduce the errors here, so it's very difficult to find out what the problem is. If the very same account works on our computers but not on our member's computer, it's very likely that there's a problem with that computer, i.e. cookie issues, firewall issues, etc.

I'm very sorry that it doesn't work for you. Let me know if you want a refund and I will do that right away. I just don't understand why you sign up for a free trial, let it convert to a full membership and then ask for a refund a couple of days later.

Both, iBill merchant and affiliate stats, usually work fine with StatsRemote. Hit me up on ICQ (5210719) and I hook you up with a free pass, so that you can check it out :)

JunkyardDog 02-28-2004 04:32 PM

I get the same ccbill issue a lot of times, but I love stats remote. Very handy program.

WebDork 02-28-2004 04:33 PM

CCBill works for me. The one that never works for me is Commission Junction. Any tips ?

Rawz 02-28-2004 04:33 PM

Stats Remote rocks and JB has some top notch support !

J B 02-28-2004 04:38 PM

Thanks guys for the good words, I appreciate it :)

We're not aware of any problems with Commission Junction? What happens when you click on it in StatsRemote. Are your stats opened in your browser or do you get an error message or a login page? If your stats are opened in your browser your login info is correct, if you get an error message or a login page the username and password you entered are probably wrong.

Paragraphs work.

Stats Remote started saving me money from the first day I installed it. I was wasting tons of traffic that I wasn't keeping good track of. It also helped me maximize the returns on my PPC search engine expenditures.

There are occasional bugs (mostly from the sponsor changing their stats reporting), but SR gets on the ball & fixes things on the first update.

The CCBill issue is in the past & has been fixed, if you are having trouble it is probably your own fault.

Do you mind if we use this as a testimonial on our site? :)

CJ was up and down all week. it was not statsremotes fault.

slapass 02-28-2004 06:29 PM

My ccbill just keeps blinking and my comoputer is bogged down. Rigth now SR is using 97% od my CPU and I can hardly switch screens. This happens when ccbill gets stuck blinking. Delete my cookies will help?

It might help but I'm not sure. We have no idea why all this stuff happens with CCBill. On our machines we get a time-out once in a while but it usually works, so there's just no way for us to reproduce all this.

If it happens I would just close StatsRemote and restart it, then the CPU load should go back to normal.

Sausage 02-28-2004 07:08 PM

No probs here with CCBill, and never had problems either. Stats remote does screw up with MoneyTree for some reason, but since i hardly use them anymore it's not an issue :)

What's wrong with Money Tree? We're not aware of any problems.

If StatsRemote displays wrong figures maybe you could try the following: Right click on Money Tree in the 'This Month' or 'This Year' tab and select 'Reset'. Then close StatsRemote and restart it.
