spam filters
2000 crap emails every day now.. what filters are you using ? and url please..
Thanks allandk |
I run Mail Washer, takes a bit of time to start blacklisting emails but you can set up filters so it deletes messages with certain words like V*I*A*G*R*A etc. You don't even have to download anything to Outlook, you can delete and blacklist it all and first.

My ISP has the brightmail filters which do a pretty good job, and I also have a trained filter working in Mozilla Thunderbird for my other accounts which works great.

maybe something serverbased would be best ?

Spamassassin in combination with Vipul's Razor does the job for me. It's serverbased and for Linux

anyway, I reckon the best thing is to use lots of filtering, and then you can just scan the "spam" to see if there's anything that was flagged as spam to see if it was something that was a real email.... :2 cents: |
