StatsRemote, damn...

They know how to run a business. They find a problem and email their members to say they are aware of it and are working on it.

Then they email the fix and it works. I paid for a year upfront and I rarely do this unless I have a lot of confidence in the service or product. Thanks StatsRemote :)

no other company does that
ever had a host mailing you when they had downtime haha
they pray that you dont notice it

only very few programs are as direct when it comes to problems as they are

nice :thumbsup

Axeman 03-04-2004 07:42 AM

Its a product that is well worth the money.

Great software and they do a good job at getting updates out there.

slapass 03-04-2004 07:46 AM

I've actually had a host email me about downtime that I wasn't even aware of. It was Reflected Networks.
It shocked the hell out of me, to get an email like that from a host! lol
They get an A+ for that from me.

Nope, I don't work for them and there's no ref code in that link. I'm just one of their satisfied customers. :thumbsup

AMAZING PROGRAM!

Worth every penny!

J B 03-04-2004 09:44 AM

Thanks guys! This was the first time something like this happened after almost two years in biz with StatsRemote. I'm glad that we were able to fix it within 12 hours eventhough it started in the middle of the night.

BTW a few people signed up again because they thought their subscription expired. I'm just going through our records and already issued a few refunds.

If you signed up again eventhough your original subscription is still active please contact us.

I thought my subscription ended as well.

I messaged JB and within minutes I had a response that my subscription was still valid for another month. The problem was fixed within 10 minutes. Talk about great support.

Thanks JB

:thumbsup

There's a problem with the version you have running. We sent an email to all our members with explanations last night. Didn't you receive it?

We found the problem in the meantime and sent another email with instructions to all members. In case you didn't receive it either here it is:

Subject: Important - Authorization Problem Solved!

We found the problem with the authorization. It seems like 'only' people that downloaded and installed the setup have been affected. If you updated StatsRemote through the software and don't get the not authorized message there's nothing you need to do.

If you get the not authorized message please do the following:

1. Login to http://www.statsremote.com/clients/download/
2. Download StatsRemoteSetup.exe and install it
3. Start StatsRemote

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we resolved this matter.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Top notch support!

Lurky 03-04-2004 01:33 PM

I'm a cheap bastard. I don't even get movie channels...

But stats remote is definitely worth the $30/month :thumbsup

Gasper 03-04-2004 01:36 PM

I've talked to their support via ICQ and they are polite and very helpful :thumbsup

I used to spend a good part of the day just refreshing my stats, like a man possessed, but now I just have StatsRemote running in the background and everytime I get a sale, I hear Bill & Ted saying 'Excellent!' and it brings a smile to my face.

dont you wish all companies ran their business like statsremote? :thumbsup

pimplink 03-04-2004 08:27 PM

what is statremote?

J B 03-04-2004 09:59 PM

Thanks everybody. We really appreciate the good words.

Fortunately 'only' about 200 people were affected by this but my ICQ was blinking like a Christmas tree all day. I don't even want to imagine how it would have been if all our members had had this problem.

I agree, their tech support rocks.

Statsremote is like one of those products, where once you start using it, you dont know how you ever lived without it.

crockett 03-04-2004 10:07 PM

as luck would have it I was one of the few that had the issue, I bought stats remote and on the second day it had the issue.. I sent a ICQ and got a reply within a few moments.. with the promise they would have it fixed by the next day ( it was late that night). Well today is the next day and it works :)

nice program and very handy..

Arty 03-04-2004 10:10 PM

I think they really deserve that "Most Innovative Product" award, and combining that with a good customer support = :thumbsup

That's why my ICQ was blinking like a Chrismas tree as soon as the problem started...

bluff 03-04-2004 11:26 PM

What are you talking about?

AdultEarners 03-05-2004 07:18 PM

We offered the StatsRemote service free to all AdultEarners webmasters (qualified) just before this problem occured....

Thumbs Up to JB for the support offered and way to go on what has to be the most time saving program on the net...

SR saves me an hour a day checking my stats, and if you cant afford the monthly subscription to save the time then you really need to go apply at McDs and forget working online.....
