Odie 03-05-2004 03:50 AM

seriously, what makes u webmasters want to send traffic to your sponsors?? how do u decide??

TDF 03-05-2004 03:51 AM

Exactly. No excuses, thanks.

Odie 03-05-2004 04:05 AM

do u want someone who can make things happen?? and get u your links and creatives for you??

Odie 03-05-2004 04:07 AM

what happens if they hassle you?? do u still send traffic??

WiredGuy 03-05-2004 04:08 AM

In the 3 years I have sent traffic to TCG, not one rep or one person has ever asked me for more traffic. I don't like getting bothered with traffic requests and they figured that out day one. Some people hit me up every day asking for traffic and never get it.

Odie 03-05-2004 04:14 AM

see that..I've never hasseled webmasters and I don't persist but I maintain a frequent relationship with my webmasters whether they send or not.. to me it's all about keeping a great relationship with people in the industry..

and b/c of this I am working on new projects and business opps..

You always did a great job at that, being a friend first and never harrassed me for traffic. :thumbsup

Getting things done would be the only thing, eg. sorting out new creatives and getting payment glitches sorted... some reps are just fucking useless. Even worse are the ones that talk a good talk on message boards, but when it actually comes to following through, it just never happens.

Odie 03-05-2004 04:23 AM

thanks Charles!! I support you no matter what!! u were the first webmaster I met in person on the plane on the way to Phoenix last year.. and I don't feel that you should bug anyone for traffic..it's all about relationships!!

it's also about the way you hold yourself and deal with the peeps you already deal with..your reputation will follow you wherever you go..:):thumbsup

at the heart of marketing is careful planning and research. I dont expect every webmaster that signs up to immediately turn over all their traffic but I work closely with them to see how they intend to promote a site and help them maximize their ROI

btw, I have seen research and all of the conversion numbers in the world only impress those who are easily swayed by fantasies of the good ole days.Real webmasters who send mass amounts of traffic see through the bullshit and send in accordance to what makes them the most money

that's great thinking.. but most sign up and don't send at all..they forget.. with all these programs using promotional prize programs and bait it still doesn't work..most of the time..some webmasters don't even have icq...do u actually read your emails and newsletters??

I read all my emails and newsletters unless its spam.I can tell you that for the last couple of days since the announcement of Stupidcash's 200 dollar amazon gift certificate program a lot of new webmasters have joined and also a lot of people who were sending less joins are now sending more traffic and taking advantage of the situation.Marketing is not some fly by night program, its about establishing yourself a good reputation and establishing trust with program owners that the checks will be nice and will cash each and every time

TDF 03-05-2004 04:49 AM

oh yeah..blindly ICQ'ing people without knowing who in the hell they are and their sites definitely keeps me away from programs

Odie 03-05-2004 04:52 AM

that's awesome for you toodamnfli!! It's great that your program has great marketing and you also have solid sites!

It's also kool that u'r still up at this hour!! make usre u hit me up on icq!! I'd love to talk to you some more..u have great things to say and I am interested in how u do biz..:thumbsup

Odie 03-05-2004 04:53 AM

totally I agree with you but u also need to establish some sort of contact with webmasters who sign up and don't have any contact with a rep from that sponsor..

Odie 03-05-2004 05:01 AM

okay I don't want to rant but this is a great biz thread.. what does anyone else have to say??

Odie 03-05-2004 05:19 AM

anyone else have anything to say?? toodamnfli has been the only one... I know u guys have input..:321GFY
