1) In 1919 a study of four blood groups was conducted for various populations. In a random sample of 120 residents it was observed that 75 had type B blood. Determine a 93% confidence interval for residents who have type B Blood
2) An IQ test was administered to a random sample of 25 of 135 chronic schizophenic pateints and the mean was found to be 98 with a standard deviation of 15. The population values are known to be normally distributed. Construct a 95% confidence interval for the mean IQ of chronic schizophrenic patients.
3) There are 300 students living in a dorm. In a random sample of thirty-five students, twenty-one say they will vote in favor of the change. Construct a 97% confidence interval for the population percentage favoring the change in policy. Assume the student resident population is normally distributed.
