Why is it that some people have a problem with gays but rarely anyone has a problem with lesbians.

In part you are correct, but you are still far off base. I am sure you can respect who has the media power, academic (Universites, etc) power, etc in this country by and large. The media particularly makes it almost a sin to have any alternate view.

To me it just seems like a democratic-dictatorship at times. Alot of important issues (i.e. immigation) are never touched upon for these reasons.

I have no problem with gay guys and the gay things they do to each other. No problem at all.

Channel 2, 7, 10, SBS, and in part 9 (obviously not as left leaning as the others though). The papers are also very left leaning, although the SMH is the better of the bunch and has a few more token 'conservatives' than the others.

BTW, we all know why Howard is in. He plays to the working class with boat people (which caused massive media attacks) and at the same time plays to big business by increasing immigration, etc for them. Unless he pulls a similar move this time around, he will be out for sure. But I am sure he realises this...
