Why don't most programs do this...
This may or may not have been asked and answered before, but I've always wondered. When linking to a sponsors website why is at the bottom of the page they have a link to their main website but it doesnt include your ref id?
Example... If you go to: http://www.mikesapartment.com/main.htm?id=yourid And scroll to the very bottom of the page where it says "webmasters" it links directly to nastydollars.com and not http://www.nastydollars.com/?wm_refer=yourid So why is it that most programs do not do this? |
Anyone?

Lightspeedcash carries your refcode through every page in our network, including webmaster links and customer support pages. If a program doesn't (unless they use cookies) they are stealing your traffic.

I would think some people just didn't think about it... and some others just don't want to give 50% away to affiliate for it... I mean, no one really complained about that in the past... every way to make more $$$ to some prevails.. but it's a good point though |

if they are with ccbill (like we are) then the surfer/webmaster is cookied anyway, so regardless of if they put the code on the link- the webmaster still gets credit.

You should be credited for all traffic. LS does just that. Test the sites and popups. :) |
my guess is they do that because they want too

Are you supposed to get webmaster referrals? From what I can see, the id is passed all the way to the signup page for the site. For the webmaster signup page, it is not getting passed. I'm just looking at the link for each of the signup pages. They could be using cookies and ip addresses also.
