Best Analog Video Capture Cards?
I have been using Winnov capture cards for years, but I am curious is there is something better out there. What capture cards do you like best? (analog for capturing/broadcasting WM live streams - I use mini DV for video clips.)

What I do now is... with my Canon Gl2... dump the rca video into it and capture it digital. (DV IN)
Now I have it in a good digital format for longer term storage. And... can easily capture it thru any DV card...all digital |
When it comes to capture cards and live streams, there is only one brand to me. Osprey.

I've been using an AIW9600 pro...been happy with it

Seriously, you will be hard pressed to find a better card. Do not settle for their usb crap either. Look at the ones in the 300-4000 range depending on your real needs. Oh and spring for the face plate, it just makes things so simple. |

You get a good bang for the buck with winnov. I do not think Osprey compares with them.
I have used winnov for a long time and have bought over 50 of them for the gals on camz and they have worked well with few problems. I do have one caution. If you are planning on using winnov for a flash media server they have not worked with flash. Or at least I have not been able to get them to work. |
You want an osprey. And NOT the USB one. Its not compatible with XP.
