UK Folks: Budget Time - how much on booze?
 

Here we go..how much more is it going to cost to get pissed this year?

He'll put smokes up to £5 and he wants to stop the sale of them in 10's as that encourages kids.. When I was a young lad in the early 60's they used to be sold in packs of 5 and some places would sell single cigarettes.. For those in the States this means that a pack of 20 will be almost $10 here in the UK !!!


As for booze.. As I only drink when I'm out any price rise won't hit me that badly..

I don't smoke but hubby does so I have to watch that too. The only people I have ever seen buy packs of 10s are teens and broke uni students.

in sweden you buy smokes for a round $5 per 20 pack, as for booze its fucking expenisve, 0,7litres vodka costs $25+ :feels-hot

I am more worried they are gonna do away with the £10k tax break that is really usefull if you take dividends and have more than one company like me

I hope smoking goes up alot, hope booze doesn't tho!

I have about 200 cigs next to me that I got for £10 from a website

good price..I don't smoke but hubby's habbit costs more than £10!

That is damn scary - £7 for vodka here!

I find it hard to believe that you know a place that sells 0.7L of vodka for £7
