Anybody notice any problems with statsremote?

Since their last update? I have it set to refresh every 15 mins but it simple wont or just partly, i have to actually close the program and open it to get up to date with my stats.

Anybody noticed the same?

juicybucks 03-20-2004 08:58 AM

you're not the only one, I've had a few affiliates saying it's a tad broken at the moment ...

XxXotic 03-20-2004 09:08 AM

Huh? You dont mind? Doesnt that kinda defeat the purpose of having an automated stats checked? I pay a monthly fee for it, i want it to do what it should do.

Axeman 03-20-2004 09:40 AM

Yeah I am not a fan of this last update. Doesnt seem to work correctly much.

Alex Xe 03-20-2004 09:59 AM

I do not have any problems with this program

B40 03-20-2004 10:00 AM

Works fine for me, I notice a red dot every once in awhile, but for the most part it's working

Sylver7 03-20-2004 10:07 AM

This update defiantely has some bugs but they are good about fixing any problems and i'm sure they are working on it.

This is the first time I hear that. It works fine here and we haven't received a single error report regarding this problem since the update on Monday.

There are two ways to set the time interval.

1. Tools -> Options -> Time Interval
This is the default time interval for all programs.

2. Right click on a program and select Properties -> Time Interval
This is the time interval set for the program.

If you set your default time interval to 15 minutes but set the time interval of a program to 4 hours it will be checked every 4 hours.

Please note: In the case of CCBill and Epoch the minimum time interval is 4 hours as they blocked the IP's of quite a few of our members in the past. This has been the case for a long time.

Also, please make sure your system time is correct and matches your time zone. In 95% of the cases when there are problems with checking the stats it's because the system time and date are not correct.

If everything is set correctly and StatsRemote still doesn't update when it's supposed to do it please try the following: Right click on every program with problems in the 'This Month' tab and select 'Reset'. Then close StatsRemote and restart it.

FEB and Niche Service... they made more changes to their stats, that's why it doesn't work right now. It will work again with the next update. BTW we always publish known problems. Just select Help -> Known Problems... in StatsRemote and you will see a page where all known problems of the current version are listed.

CE Cash and Porn Dollar... they work fine. You need to enter the actual account number of the program and not your default username.

Hey, thanks for the post. Maybe its ccbill not updating correctly as i send most my hits there it will mess up my stats majorly. I had no problems with ccbill updating every 15 mins before so maybe they just blocked me recently.

Furious_Male 03-20-2004 11:44 AM

Its working great for me (CE cash included). I don't promote any CCBill sites directly so I wouldn't know about that though.

One problem I do see is some of the reporting with the PPC Search engines but I am sure that will be ironed out as well.

J B 03-20-2004 11:45 AM

Forgot one thing... if you regularly install software on your machine you might need to reinstall the Microsoft JVM once in a while. The problems is that sometimes original components are replaced when you install other software and that might cause the problems.

You can find the download links here:

Hmmm... CCBill has been set to a minimum of 4 hours for over a year now, so I'm not sure how StatsRemote could check it every 15 minutes for you.

Hi J B

Search123: only shows the account balance. Not running totals ($ diff etc. that all stays at 0)

GOClick: Doesnt work period. I am guessing it may have something to do with there newer passphrase requirement on log in.

ICQ me if you need any more details.

For future reference... the titles of the fields always tell you what you need to enter... here are two examples:

it'd be cool if you offered skins, or to have the interface in different colors.
I liked the old color but not this newer color.
just a suggestion

Search123... we had to disable the stats checking as their stats generate a new report whenever you or StatsRemote checks the stats. The problem is that there seems to be no way to delete these reports. After they implemeted this new feature all our members had hundreds of reports in their stats within a few days and there would be thousands of reports within a few weeks. We contacted them to work something out but so far they haven't replied yet.

GiClick... we're working on that. It works for some people while it doesn't work for others. It seems like the stats don't have exactly the same format for everybody. We have one member with two GoClick accounts, one account works, the second account doesn't work.

Thanks for the explanation. Great tool. Keep up the good work.

We mainly got positive feedback regarding the new look and feel. Implementing skins would take days of programming and we rather spend that time on adding new programs and features :)

all seems to be working fine for me....funny thing about GoClick...it used to never work right for me and now it does. :thumbsup

i do see that sometimes CJ.com can confused it due to their delayed reporting and it may miss a sale or two....

but other than that its a great program. :)

jact 03-20-2004 02:31 PM

I've been seeing more and more problems with mine lately, but I haven't re-installed M$ JVM, so I'll try that before sending an error report in.

HS-Trixxxia 03-20-2004 02:37 PM

JB, I have a question regarding SexHit - mine shows me all the clicks but won't show me the signups - is that normal?

That's the strange thing. It stopped working for some people and it suddenly works for others.

StatsRemote should pick up the sales on the next day. Not necessarily the first time it checks the stats though. It checks yesterday's stats every few hours, so there shouldn't be any missing sales in the end.

If there are sales missing please do the following: Right click on CJ in the 'This Month' tab and select 'Reset'. Then close StatsRemote and restart it.

Are 'only' the signups missing or the $$$ as well?

Specifically, I loaded Stats Remote this afternoon, and none of my sponsors had the blue/red status indicator, so I had to shut the program down and load it again. This time it loaded with all status indicators, but 11 sponsors were red light, so I let the blue lighted ones finish updating, closed the program and loaded it again. This time only the ones that were right lighted had blue lights (The rest had no status indicator at all) and this time the previously un-updated sponsors updated. I closed the program again, and upon loading it again all sponsors were good to go, but this is happening more and more lately and honestly, it's a bit of a pain in the ass :)

StatsRemote never checks any stats more often than every 5-10 minutes, i.e. if the stats of programs were just successfully checked and you close and restart StatsRemote you will get no status for these programs. They will be checked again during the next scheduled stats update.

If you get a red status for many programs at once right after you start StatsRemote that usually means that there's a (temporary) problem with your internet connection.

What I don't understand is that you get no status at all when you start StatsRemote. This usually only happens if the stats were checked within the last 5-10 minutes or if you changed your system time to a time/date in the future.

Maybe you could reinstall the Microsoft JVM, reboot your machine and try again.

Hmmm... we're not aware of any problems with nocreditcard.com. Our account works fine and I know that many of our members check their nocreditcard.com stats with StatsRemote.

What happens when you click on it in StatsRemote? Are your stats opened in your browser or do you get an error message or a login page?

jact 03-20-2004 05:23 PM

Hey J B, any chance you can add an option to allow people to choose if they want to bypass announcement pages? Seems a lot of sponsors are NOT sending out emails and they're expecting us to know news that Stats Remote bypasses if you use it to login.

An example: SoCalCash had an announcement about stats that Stats Remote users wouldn't see unless you logged in manually...

In the case of SoCal Cash you get the following page when you login from StatsRemote:
stats.naughtyamerica.com/stats.php

They don't have a link to the main page of the stats area on the stats page but you can just delete the stats.php part from the URL and you will get the main page with announcements:
stats.naughtyamerica.com

Most programs have links to their main page/announcement page on their stats page and also send emails if there's something important.

The problem is that it would take weeks to implement this feature as we would need to reprogram the login routines of thousands of programs.
