Dawn of the Dead vs. Christ

Dawn of the dead was the movie to finally beat the passion of Christ. But I bet the Passion comes back. ressurection?

Questions:

1. how long would it take for the internet to go down?

2. would you escape on a boat?

I like the boat idea. I hide out first in a gorcery store with a gun and lost of ammo.

Then you are totally clueless.

debbieN 03-20-2004 05:47 PM

the first Dawn of the Dead came out in 1979. I think 28 Days producer/writers might have seen it a while ago.

who copied who?

NoCarrier 03-20-2004 05:52 PM

It's not a remake. It's using the same story but it's not the same movie.

28 days later were infected people. People were NOT DEAD.

In this one, we have DEAD people who still have the ability to run like motherfuckers. Imagine thousands of dead zombies craving for your living flesh but running like the T-1000 in T2. Now that's what we call "scary shit".

That movie rocked, the director did an asewome job. I mean, just the first 10 mins were scary as hell. Watching the beginning of hell on earth was deeply troubling :thumbsup

You have to be a historian to be a critic? All Ive seen of the movie is the trailers on tv and to me the movie looks like 28 days later. Since there was a dawn of the dead movie out way before I stand corrected about the rip off. To me it still seems to be the same story though and not very interesting.

It certainly helps to be familiar with the topic you choose to voice your amateur opinion about.

people shouldnt talk about what they are completely ignorant of then.

you were sure enough to point out it being a rip off but were not educated enough to know you were wrong.

thats called being clueless.

as I said, Night Of The Living Dead is from 68.

either know what you speak of or dont bother.

you clearly have no clue about horror movies, so why bother?

debbieN 03-20-2004 06:29 PM

Dawn of the Dead must have been inspired for some other movie or a small part of the movie.

tuning normal people into flesh-eating monsters are an original concept.

that it multiples rapidly is horrifying.

debbieN 03-20-2004 06:30 PM

I also like "Season of the Witch" by the same film man.

How about inspired by the FIRST movie of the trilogy? Which was "Night of the living dead" and it was the same director. George Romero.

Night of the Living Dead

Dawn of the Dead

Day of the Dead

Are you talking about Halloween III? If so, u gotta be fucking kidding me?! Romero had nothing to do with it. No zombies were involved. And it was fucking lame.

when i worked in the Haunted House, I looked up to him and Tom Savini. Tom Savini did the effects, and is even IN the original, isnt he in this one too?

I was a fan of this when I was a kid learning how to make fake blood.

Yeah, he has a cameo in DOTD 2004. He's the county sheriff in a short live coverage. The movie theater had many fans because people cheered when he appeared on screen

Well, being drunk, stoned, fucked up or even beaten to death is not an excuse. That's seriously weird.

It's like knowing about George Lucas's 1967 "Anyone Lived in a Pretty How Town" movie, but not knowing about his "Star Wars" trilogy.

You guys are really fucking weirdos when it comes to horror movies.

MiLo 03-20-2004 08:33 PM

Looks like a mix of Scream and Final Destination, and a total rip off from an old movie that i cant remember its name, with people waking up from their graves and shit.
