best program for cutting movies
 

I want to take a 20 second clip from a file and also compress the 20 second clip.... whats the best program to do this?

I use vcd cutter, awesome movie cutting program.

where can i get that?

Do a search. JIAO VCD Cutter. Maybe they finally came up with a version that words with Windows XP without crashing.

What the pros use....Final Cut Pro on a Mac and then switch platforms to compress using Sorrenson Squeeze. A 5minute, un-compressed movie is roughly 1Gb and then Squeeze will take it down to about a 10mb file that can be viewed full screen in Windows Media Player. Don't know if that's too out of control but that is how it's done for optimal quality.

Go to our site...go through the tour and you will see a heavily compressed video that still looks great for what it is and is less than 2Mb.
