do you use smileys when text messaging?
 

i've noticed i use alot :( :) ;) ;D shit on my cell phone when i'm text messaging. my years of being dependant on stupid online sileys to emote has ruined me.

Yeah, I use it all the time. There's nothing wrong with being dependent on thes kinds of things.

I use the basic ones.. happy, sad... it just helps to convey emotions. Sometimes a 15 character text message doesn't have enough "feel" to it by itself.

I like to take it one step further
when im talking to my friends on ICQ or sometimes even in real life - talking to webmaster friends I find myself saying "graucho" at intervals where I would normally use the graucho smilie --->:Graucho
