VEROTEL is DONE...
Verotel has an important update about an important subject:
Verotel Pro and Verotel Ticketsclub. VEROTEL PRO WEBMASTERS, CHANGED IPSP REGULATIONS PER APRIL 1ST Starting April 1st 2004 VISA and MasterCard require that there is more transparency regarding larger merchants for which Verotel processes. End-users need to know which company they are dealing with when they are using their credit card on the Internet. This is good for your business and ours, as it will reduce the number of chargebacks and complaints. The solution is that larger merchants will need to show their company name on the descriptor portion of credit card statements. Currently the name 'VEROTEL' shows up on an enduser's credit card statement. Webmasters that process, on average, more than USD 1,000 a week, have been selected in February to become a VEROTEL PRO customer, and it is required that the webmaster's company name is shown on the descriptor. The affected webmasters have been notified by registered/courier mail and by e-mail. Please note that starting May 1st 2004, everybody can become a Verotel Pro customer, regardless of the amount of weekly processing volume. At that time there is a one time registration fee of USD 1,500.00 and an annual fee of USD 250.00. The current preselected group of Verotel Pro customers do not have to pay any one-time registration fee -and- their annual fee is waived until January 1st 2006. VEROTEL CUSTOMERS THAT ARE NOT SELECTED TO BECOME A VEROTEL PRO CUSTOMER WILL BE A VEROTEL TICKETSCLUB CUSTOMER STARTING APRIL 15TH. Starting April 15th 2004 Verotel wants to gain more control over its portfolio with merchants, processing for smaller websites. That's why Verotel introduces the Ticketsclub (www.ticketsclub.com) for all Verotel merchants, that have not been selected to become a Verotel Pro customer. With Ticketsclub, Verotel can actively monitor endusers that bought a subscription for your website, reducing the number of fraudulent transactions. All future Verotel Ticketsclub accounts stay free of charge. However, some restrictions will be introduced: - all members being subscribed to a Verotel Ticketsclub merchant website should login every time at www.ticketsclub.com. That means that that MEMBERS button link should be replaced on all Verotel Ticketsclub merchant websites. - all members being subscribed to a Verotel Ticketsclub merchant website are being monitored, each time they login to www.ticketsclub.com. The login information will be shared with all Verotel Ticketsclub merchants in the Verotel Control Center. - all websites, owned by a Verotel Ticketsclub merchant, should be described more detailed in a so called 'Website profile' by the Verotel Ticketsclub merchant. - for all credit card, US Check, and Direct Debit Europe transactions a non-negotiable fixed fee of 14.5% will be charged for all transactions. There is a 1.5% surcharge for recurring transactions. Please note that all previous discounts and surcharges will be cancelled for Verotel Ticketsclub customers starting April 15th. Please read the full story at: http://www.verotel.com/new_ipsp.html You can see on the first page of the Verotel Control Center if you are a selected Verotel Pro or a future Verotel Ticketsclub merchant. If you have any questions about our company policy regarding Verotel Pro and Verotel Ticketsclub, don't hestitate to email us at [email protected]. We thank you for your business and we hope that we both can increase our sales and security using these new rules and regulations. Kind regards, Verotel Management Amsterdam - Netherlands |
they suck anyways. :321GFY

Ticketsclub? What the fuck?
|
good
|
They sent a warning 3 weeks ago about this. I don't think they are done yet.
|
This is hardly representative of your "verotel is done" proclamation. Gimme a break.

The fact that they are complying with the Visa request is what will prevent them from going under. Globill refused to comply and that's what killed them. Globill had plenty of money, they didn't fold because of lack of biz, Visa shut them down with law suits. |
Verotel is registering all their $1k+ / week clients as per IPSP regs just like the other guys do. No big deal, and in fact they are paying for it out of their own pockets.
All the smaller sites will have a single entry point to cut down on fraud and overhead. Anyways who cares about sites doing less than $1k / week. |
how misleading is your title?
idiot :321GFY |
Yeah all the people who were invited into it wont have to pay the reg fees until 2006, and the way i read it, all you small people wont have to pay the registration unless you CHOOSE to be verotel pro. So in all reality, theres no change for anyone.
Though this whole registering my thing in holland is annoying. - Seth |
Verotel is not done. This is a good step they are taking.

Ticketsclub? what for?

I like the front at ticketsclub.com :-)

I guess it was just a matter of time.
Hopefully, the same "transparency rules" will bypass epassporte |

BTW.. That is one of the strongest models yet for using cards for access to adult and other sites and not having card companies in control. That day may come yet :-) Tho.. I can't see much wrong with epassporte doing internal "due diligence" on what may be described as "transparency". I wish epassporte (or someone) would complete the stuff that was originally proposed to them - it would change this "processor trauma" damned quick :-) |
No one seems to have noticed that this ticketsclub thing is basically a glorified AVS. Don't forget that Verotel are also permitting themselves to 'remarket' to your cancelled customers.
I'm not quite sure what this line means... "If a Verotel Ticketsclub customer elects to use the Verotel Reseller program, then Verotel itself, as a company, should be able to resell your content as well." The whole lot is here: http://www.verotel.com/new_ipsp.html Does anyone have any more solid information on the Visa EU regulations? |
no big deal

bump
|
Do what they want to do and :321GFY them all.

I asked the same question in another thread. What about other 'EU' processors? |

If you elect to use the reseller program Verotel automatically becomes one of your resellers and makes money the same way any of your affiliates do. This all looks very good. Hugs, Danielle |

but to the whole site, what in this case ? |
They purchase access to one site only. Not all sites processed by Verotel.
Business as usual. This is actually a fantastic business model Verotel has come up with. Hugs, Danielle |
gxer,
In my example a particular movie equals a site. It's just an example. :) Hugs, Danielle |
I dont see it that way at all.
Am already making moves. Im just glad that Verotel gave us notice unlike Globosale and PSWBilling... For anyone looking for EU sponsors try: http://www.cardsgate.com or http://www.yambobill.com Ive been using both as secondaries for a couple of months and no problems with either. Just need to decide which of them now becomes my primary :) |

oh shit, I hope the sponser im using that has verotel pay up.......
|
Two Things:
1. 14.5% 2. # All Verotel Ticketsclub merchants should allow Verotel to use the user database of their endusers if the user's last purchase was more then two months ago. Verotel never sells any user- or email lists, but this information is used to remarket endusers with similar websites that fit in the user/website profile People saying this is a good thing, wake up and smell the money made on your back. |
I have use Verotel as a back up but my weekly sales fall short of the 1K limit. Yet for over a year I have always recieved my direct deposits on time or earlier (fridays). It may be 6, 7 or $900
but they pay. The fact that they stopped processing the underage model sites and them taking Visa seriously is a strong clue to the fact that they are getting their shit together. :2 cents: |

If you are in the UK or can arrange to have a UK bank account I recommend www.globalcharge.com. They accept Switch, Solo and Electron debit cards as well as Visa/MC..
They pay directly in to your UK bank acct aproximately 35 days after the end of a month and not weekly but they are very reliable and their support is ok :) I use them as my secondary processor after CCBill :) |
