in canada they are due at the end of this month. (personal anyway) NOT looking forward to it. My bank account seems sooo pretty right now with all that extra cash in it for taxes......

Fuck man, I feel you.. I have been saving and saving and saving... Luckily my shit's paid and the ballance only reflected a $330 difference cuz I overpayed on last year's taxes and had enough \/\/rite offs to get me almost even...

I owe a shitload from 2002 penalties and the audit. They'll get it when I feel like it. I'm not on the best of terms with the CCRA.

I didn't hahahahaha off anything this year. I'm getting fuck. The only thing deductable I had was the half of the self employed tax, which is bullshit anyway cause everyone self employed gets it.

Next year I'm writing off everything possible and keeping all the docs.

here in the US if your in a higher bracket your more likely to be audited. Is that discrimination?

Who knows, they decided because of how close I am involved with my company to personally audit me as well. To me, that's an unfair assumption. Just because I'm the primary shareholder should not make me a primary target to investigate my personal affairs but what can you really do about it...

What did they find? What were the penalties for?

They denied quite a few legitimate expenses, like Island Gathering (Curacao shows) and limited my tradeshow's to only 2 expenses per year. I went to like 6 shows in one year so they denied 4 of them. They also lowered the percentage of my car's usage for the business and a few other things. All in all, got a slap on the wrist and had to pay for those expenses. A real hassle considering I was 100% legit on everything I wrote off. I'm still appealing some of those business trips because Island Gathering led to the result of several introductions to owners which was necessary to have a business relationship. Problem is these CCRA government people don't really like the idea that this business is based on porn so they see a retreat like Island Gathering as entertainment and not a business trip.

filed mine a month ago and made an amendment today that's gonna give me back almost everything i paid in. gotta love that
