Best family friendly beach resort?
 

Any suggestions? I don't want something that feels like Ramada Inn by the ocean. Nice, upscale accomodations and nearby restaurants that cater to families.

The Sandals resorts rock.

If you want to go to Florida and are not stuck with the beach idea. Go to the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando. They have an enormous heated swimming pool with a beach on one side a huge water slide and on Friday nights they show movies on this huge screen that comes up out of the ground. Stay on the concierge level. I don't know how much you want to spend but you can get a room with two doubles for about $200.oo. You get a continental breakfast, free soda, coffe and bottled water all day. You also get a free beer wine and cheese happy hour and free milk and c-ookies before bed. They also have a place where the kids can play video games for free (PS1) and you can go and select from over 1000cd's to play in your room. That is just the hotel you are a two minute walk from Universal studios and Islands of Adventure. It was seriously one of the best vacations I ever took.

Virginia Beaches has some great resorts that are family focused. Check in the VA - NC area.

Yep these are great resorts for family orienteds vacations...

Lotsa good ones in Cuba. The Spanish ladies really love kids.
