Why do you go to adult industry events?

Never seen anybody else than the guys who represent known companies there,so why do you go there,it's not like you would see anything new beside some webmasters you maybe want to meet or some pornstars showing up.

1. It makes for a nice vacation that is tax deductable.
2. To meet some people face to face.
3. Free T-shirts and pens, I hate buying them cause I am cheap.

And really there are ussually tons of non program owners roaming around. I do not know where you get that idea.

For most people, they go in hopes of getting laid.

BradM 05-08-2004 03:57 PM

To laugh at the drunks.

AMADude 05-08-2004 04:49 PM

Network, make deals, meet associates, see hot chicks, get laid, get drunk, go to awesome parties.
I guess that about sums it up.

I like to meet people I do biz with in person --- its pretty easy to tell by talking to people for a while what kind of person they are. There are so many non-verbal signals and body language that are part of any negotiation that get lost in email and over icq.

I think most people feel more comfortable dealing with people they have met in person, and shows are the best place to meet lots of people in a short amount of time.

I go there to meet new people, get some more contacts, close some deals, plus when you meet people face to face they are more comfortable doing business with you and also show the industry what we got to offer.
