moving out of the u.s. ?

have any of you webmasters moved outside of the u.s. to reside in another country? i'd like to do something new but im concerned about immigration law and stuff , wouldnt it be hard ot have a long term stay if you are not on a work visa or something ?

Some places will allow you to have work visas. some don't even require Visas (Canada).

wondertracy 05-28-2004 01:53 PM

Because U are American , U dont really need visa nowher. And if u work on the nett No 1 knows. Wher u wanna move?

stev0 05-28-2004 01:56 PM

Doesn't matter if you're American or not, you still need a visa to work in almost all other countries... Seeing as your self employed you probably wouldn't have a huge problem getting one though.

Where are you thinking of?

wondertracy 05-28-2004 02:03 PM

If he works on the internet then he dont need NOTHING. He will still have to pay taxes here in US. If he go more then 6 month , then u right. He will need a VISA.

wehre is my 2nd concern im just unclear on all the laws and such of moving and residing in other countries im sure each has their own but is it a difficult task to accomplish?

wondertracy 05-28-2004 02:07 PM

Remember that when you are moving to another country, things change. What you are used to in the states, may not be anything like what you get in another country. Every country has a different way of doing things. Also remember that you may want to check out the connection options for the area that you are moving to. Dont think that you can get DSL or T1 anyplace.

You have the net to do the research. Do it. Look for chat boards about the places that interest you. Most likely you will find a bunch of americans that are already there.
