A lot more talk than action is the problem. And wasted funds. Jesus. I don't know what it's like in the states, but in australia, all the ministers get their government cars. All luxury, of course. New one every year. I don't see why they can't drive a regular sedan, or even a smaller car to save on fuel costs. And i don't see why they can't keep a car for more than a fucking year. Standard model cars + keep them for 5 years = huge savings.

Government needs to become lean.

People don't get into government to do any good now, they do it because of all the benefits.

I dont like them as the public seems to have allowed to much power with little accountability during a presidents term.

But is there a better solution, who knows

What we have now certainly needs refining, however.

Someone has to lead.. most people wouldn't want the job and those that do are invariably shit heads.

Take money out of the issue as much as possible. The fact that you have to be a millionairre to run for a major office is complete bullshit, imho...

What are you talking about, when the goverment delegetimize itself, it's time for the people to overthrow it, and replace it with people who will serve it's interest.

politicians don't piss me off, because I decided many many years ago that I simply won't allow them to be a part of my reality.

I give a fuck who they are, what they do, who gets voted in, who gets bashed with some scandal, what countries they decide to take over, or anything else they're doing.

As far as I'm concerned, they are the rest of the worlds problem, not mine. Life is too short to spend it tracking and bitching about politicians and their every move.

yes it does definitely. there was a politician in my area a few yrs ago that had the motto, 'stop electing politicians, start electing real ppl'. was a good thought, he lost unfortunately

It's pretty sick to see the way people have blind faith in elected officials.
