I have a number of domains with GoDaddy and so far no problem. Can anyone suggest someone else for future domain purchases so not all of my eggs are in one basket just in case?

AWC 06-01-2004 03:56 PM

Perhaps you haven't spammed but most spammers have no problem hijacking an insecure box and STEALING YOUR bandwidth and resources. And guess who gets blamed?

Go to openrbl.org and maybe google groups and type in your domain/IP. See what comes up. You might be a spam source and not know it.

You get what you pay for.

Directnic is a little more expensive but you won't have those problems and enjoy top notch support! :thumbsup

m00d 06-01-2004 04:50 PM

leg4 06-01-2004 04:59 PM

Directnic sucks... in the past---I've had problems with them also...

Because one of my domains had a bad phone# attached to it.

I mean when you have a tons of domains--- how can you watch every fucking one...?

Call me -- or email me... dont just lock the shit you prick cocksuckas.

I'd try namecheap.com too . . good support. A friend of mine had the exact same thing happen with godaddy . . . it was one of those spoofed addresses in the email from field (they didnt even read the headers the dumb godaddy tards) . Threaten to suit them and tell them to produce the offending emails. I bet it's the same case. They close your acct or hijack your name for no reason because they have 12 year olds who use a FAQ and their feeble minds to run support so standard protocol for a spam complaint.
step 1. Tell complaintant you are sorry
step 2. shut off domain.
They don't have people smart enough to read email headers or investigate a complaint.

Ask Juicy :winkwink:

Nas7782 06-02-2004 01:04 AM

Godaddy alternative:

Namecheap: not ICANN accredited, but I like their paypal option.

Enom: get a subaccount from some one, or create your own reseller account if you own a bunch.

registerfly

Dotster

Ev1

I use mostly Godaddy, but also namecheap and reg. fly. Never had a problem w/ GD so far. I like their .us/.biz/.info price.
