A software developer pleaded guilty Thursday to murdering a 10-year-old girl at his Lake Ontario home after downloading child porn from the Internet. The man, 36-year-old Michael Briere, was sentenced to life in prison after he was found guilty by a Canadian court of sexually assaulting and then murdering and dismembering Holly Jones in May 2003. American people are very credulous and impressionable. This is why the US government censors all the news in order to protect you. Do you remember 9/11 video that was shown on almost all news channels. I believe all of you also remember that 14yo boy who was tried to repeat the Al Quaeda's "feat". He stole some a small plane (Cessna I think) and tried to ram a building. That boy was impressed by the 9/11 video. So I believe that video may lead to murder in some TV-addicted countries like the USA. Course this is just my IMHO.

So the argument that him going online and running across some child porn made him want to kidnap, rape, kill, and dismantle a little girl is more feasible?

Are you saying that TV and the internet influences people to do things they normally wouldn't? Does rap music make people shoot eachother? Did the movie "The Matrix" cause those kids at Columbine to shoot up their school?

Yes, it did! I heard lots of such cases in the USA (but nowhere else however). So as I already said, some TV-addicted countries are in the risk group...
