CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR ALCOHOL ABUSERS FOR UCLA RESEARCH STUDY

Michael Irwin, MD, conducts an NIH funded research study at UCLA on the effects of chronic alcohol use on sleep & health.

-Must be between 25 and 65 years old
-Monitoring of wake and sleep for up to 12 days/nights
-Repeated blood sampling during two days/nights of each of the two study sessions
-Single dose of an inactive substance called placebo, and etanercept, a medication currently used to treat rheumatoid arthritis
-Free physical exam and assessment of sleep
-Compensation up to $930 for your time
