Let me know when you find out. I have a feeling it has to do with a lot of things. Some things I can agree with and some that I cannot.

I started to list some of both, but the more I think about it, I can only list one very big reason. Bush getting back at saddam for trying to take his dad out.

What were doing there? Fighting the Iraqi's ofcourse. We need to fight them because its a piece mission! Dont you understand that? Look first you bomb their houses and families because...well no real reason...and then you fight them because they fight back. Its as clear as 1+1=2. Stop asking stupid questions.

In today's world the general public has no patience what so ever. We should be thankful that the war ended quickly, and didn't drag out for four or five years.

Now we are in the occupation phase. This too is not something that is done in a month, six months, a year, or three years. With all of the money the government has been taking in all of these years, Iraq has remained a third world country. What little they had was destroyed in a single month of warfare.

We did the right thing by going in. Now we need to do the right thing and stay there until they are are their feet.

I couldn't imagine the people of today having to go through something like World War II where millions and millions of people died.

The Reasons:

1. We're democratizing the middle east.

2. Israel wanted Saddam out as did we.

3. Saudi Arabia's royal ruling family is all fucked up. The US wanted a major oil reserve backup in case Saudi Arabia goes upside down. Iraq was the perfect choice with its 2nd largest oil reserves.

4. Next there's going to be a coup in Saudi Arabia. The royal family is going bye bye. We'll step in with our military to take control of the oil fields as soon as they're all dead. (Its time to democratize Saudi Arabia as well).

5. Iran is going psychotic having the US right next door to its borders. We're loving it.

6. There's a few more, but I'm zonked right now. LOL
